Student Government Association (SGA)


Student Government AssociationStudent Government Association membership includes all full- and part-time students of MBU. The Association elects four executive council members: President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Student Advocate in the spring and Representatives for the following constituencies in the fall: Athletes, At-Large, Commuter, Graduate, Non-Traditional, North Hall, Pillsbury-Huff Hall, and Off-Campus Apartments. It is organized to serve as a voice for the student body to University administration and trustees, to cooperate with the faculty and administration in the daily function of the University, to advance the welfare of the University, and to promote an awareness and interest in the vital issues affecting the University community.

SGA is the governing organization for the whole community of campus-wide organizations. It is responsible for the planning and administration of the Organization Fair during the first month of the fall term to introduce all students to opportunities for involvement at MBU. In addition, each organization is accountable to SGA for its progress, projections, and growth.
