Summer Mileage Program

Faculty and Staff can continue to record their miles at the Fitness Center (chart located across from Fitness Center desk).

  • Prize levels:
    • 1st mile- MBU water bottle
    • 50 miles-Nike Dri-Fit socks
    • 100 miles- custom designed Way of Life T-Shirt
    • 300 miles-Way of Life Lands End polo
  • Miles do not transfer from the spring semester.
  • Prizes can be collected at the Fitness Center desk.
     

Healthy Punch Card Events (Dates TBA)

Throughout the summer, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to participate in various healthy activities. All activities will be held over the lunch hour.  

-A punch card will be issued to any participating Faculty/Staff member.
-Participants can receive punches at any of the events listed below (1 punch given for completing both beginning and ending health assessment).
-Those receiving 6 out of 7 punches will receive a gift card at the end of the program.

  • Healthy & Fun Group Activities
    • Volleyball game “Stay and play, have a salad the next day!”
      • Wednesday, June 6th from 12:15- 1:30 p.m.
      • Participants in the volleyball game will receive a voucher for a salad plate in the cafeteria.
    • Zumba in Lacey Gym
      • Participants will participate in an easy-to-follow beginner Zumba class and will receive a prize for attending.
    • Cardio Kickboxing in Lacey Gym
      • Participants will participate in a heart-pumping beginner Cardio Kickboxing class and will receive a prize for attending.
    • Rockin’ & Walkin’ 
      • Participants will walk the track in the SRC while listening to music over the gym speakers. Participants will receive a prize for attending.
  • Healthy Hour Workshops
    • Two Healthy Hour workshops will be held in the Perk. Speakers will be brought in to share information on nutrition, health, fitness, etc.
  • Health Assessments
    • Faculty/Staff members can get a health assessment (inlcudes weight, height, body fat %, etc.) at the beginning of the summer program and at the conclusion.
    • Initial assessments must be completed by May 31 and final assessments by August 1.
