Intramural Sports

The Intramural program strives to enhance the overall educational experience of MBU students, faculty, and staff through participant interaction and through social recreation in a safe, friendly, health-conscious environment.

Spring 2012 Events

5 on 5 Basketball - January 25 - March 7

5 on 5 Basketball Schedule

There will be separate men's and women's leagues. Games will be held Wednesday nights 7-9 p.m. Each team will play one game weekly.

Table Games - March 19 - April 21

Registration begins March 5
Indoor tables games include ping-pong, pool and foosball. Enter one or all tournaments. Games will be played according to player's schedules.

Rules when forming a team

  1. All participants must be full time students or members of the faculty or staff.
  2. All teams must designate a captain with responsibilities as listed below.
  3. No more than 25% of a team roster may consist of JV or varsity athletes from the sport being played.  (Examples: Only one team member of a 4 person sand volleyball roster may be a JV or varsity volleyball athlete. Three members of a 12 person co-ed softball roster may be JV or varsity softball or baseball athletes.)

Captain's Corner

  1. Complete a team roster and return it to the Student Activities office or Intramural table by the given deadline. Ensure that all information is complete.
  2. Read the INTRAMURAL HANDBOOK .
  3. Relay all pertinent information from the handbook to team members.
  4. Attend the captain's meeting.
  5. Failure to be informed of the intramural rules and regulations may result in team disqualification.
  6. Act as a liaison between the Director of Intramurals and team members. Captains are responsible for distributing schedules to teammates.
  7. Arrive at the scheduled event in advance to ensure all team members are present and prepare for competition.
