Academics
Make your dreams come true. With nearly 40 majors to choose from, your time at MBU will be spent working towards your future. From physicians to actors, our graduates work around the world doing what they love, thanks in part to MBU’s rigorous academics and practical coursework.
Don’t settle for second best.
MBU gives students the knowledge needed to live out their passions long after they graduate.
Becoming a World Citizen
MBU students invest in a lifestyle that helps cultivate a fully-formed person. . . from the first semester of the freshman year to the capstone course preceding graduation.
At MBU, you’ll kick off your college career by taking Collegiate Seminar, a three-credit course taught by MBU’s vice president of student affairs. The course is strategically designed to help students take essential steps toward what Aristotle calls “the examined life.”
But that’s only the half of it.
At MBU the Collegiate Seminar is only the initial stage of the formation process. Through continuing years of liberal arts studies, students are then challenged to hone skills that will fortify them in living examined and integrated lives.
Finally, these skills are refined during the senior year through the capstone interdisciplinary course—World Citizen.
The World Citizen course is built around the twin objectives of critical thinking and serving. The thinking objective is aimed at enhancing the students’ awareness and engagement of life. The serving objective focuses on challenging students to continue to assess their lives.
