EXCEL Summer Workshops
Each summer EXCEL provides a choice of two dates when new EXCEL instructors come to the campus for discipline-specific training concerning the MBU course they will teach. The sessions are led by MBU faculty. The EXCEL staff provides an administrative orientation on the same day.
Along with an orientation and training for new EXCEL teachers, MBU provides a half-day of discipline-specific sessions for new and veteran teachers. These sessions are led by MBU faculty who offer updates on courses (course updates, texts, assessments, technology) and explore new research and labs in the discipline. After lunch, the director brings administrative news and instructions to the entire gathering. EXCEL offers two dates from which to choose – one in June and one in July.
