How to Make an Appointment

- Appointments can be scheduled for 30 minutes or one hour.
- Please bring a hard copy of the assignment you are working on, as well as the assignment guidelines.
- Services are free for MBU students.

Mon. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tues. 9:30 - 11 a.m., 12 - 1 p.m., 1:30 - 4 p.m.
Wed. 9 - 10 a.m. & 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Thur. 9:30 - 11 a.m. & 12 - 4 p.m.
Fri. 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Writing Lab Policy
Please keep in mind that your writing coach will not edit or write your paper for you. Although your main objective may be to perfect one assignment, we hope to strengthen your skills for the challenging papers you have yet to write. We at the Writing Lab completely understand that writing is a difficult process that requires patience, effort, and critical thinking. Our goal is to help you face and eventually overcome your writing fears!
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your writing appointment, please call (314)392-2364. If you miss more than one appointment a semester without contacting us ahead of time, we reserve the right to refuse future service.

Submit Your Paper Online
If you are a student at one of our extension sites or a distance learning student, you have the option to submit your paper online. This service is free and only offered to MBU students.
FAQ
How do I submit my paper online?
Fill out the Online Submission Form completely.
Will the writing coach edit (or write) my paper for me?
Keep in mind that the Writing Lab Policy still applies. Although we will not edit your paper, we do hope to provide specific, helpful feedback that will guide you in the writing process.
When will my paper be returned?
Our turnaround time is 72 hours (or 3 business days). If you submit your paper on a Friday, it will be reviewed on Monday and returned no later than Thursday.
How will my paper be returned?
You will receive an email from writing@mobap.edu with your paper attached as a Word document.
What if I still need help? Can I resubmit the same paper twice?
Sure! If you make the appropriate changes to a draft we have already reviewed, you can resubmit the assignment for additional feedback.
